Winter Magic in the Perth Hills

I’ll let you in on a little secret - something magical happens to the Perth Hills in winter. The bush comes alive. Deep green blooms, birdsongs come to life, morning mist rises, and waterfalls rush into life after a long, dry summer.
The air feels crisp, and the scent of rain envelops you.
While nature bursts into life, it is time for us to slow down, and be soothed by nature itself.
When we leave the busyness of life behind, it’s often the simplest things that help us return to calm -

Simply being in the quiet, finding a memorable moment of peace.
The scent of wet bushland, and the crunch of leaves under your feet.
Slow walks that restore your nervous system and quieten your mind.
Deep conversations and warm drinks.
Spotting a quenda at dusk.
Looking up and seeing the red-tailed cockatoos glide overhead.
Discovering a waterfall and letting the afternoon while away as you sit on granite rock to just listen.
Slow evenings by the fire-pit, or at the local cozy pub, by the fire.
And then settling into the most comfortable bed, for the best sleep you’ve had in ages.
You wake up to a nourishing, warm breakfast, delivered to your door.
Another day to enjoy simply slowing down. To just be.
A good book and a cup of tea in bed.
A drive through the valley, a slow lunch, a hike in the national park.
A hot shower and a night in.
You’re a world away.
After two days, you feel different. Grounded. Rested. Restored. More..you.
That’s the magic of winter in the Perth Hills.
